Memory Daughter's Keeper, Memory Keeper's Daughter, Keeper of Memory's Daughter, Daughter of the Memory Keeper...whatever, it was a good read LOL.

Thanks so much for a *wonderful* evening! You and Danny W. make a great team LOL.

I've missed gabbing about books, and I miss my college lit classes, too. Now I have some of that back, and what's more, with a group of intelligent, funny women I love.

Here's a link to that creepy book I mentioned. I probably was drawn to it by my fascination with weather, but it sounds like a very, very dark story...so this may not be the best choice for our next book. But I might read it on my own anyway ;-)

haha, oops!

It was fun to get together with everyone (as usual). Danny W. just might become my new best buddy at dinner parties. :-)

This sounds like an excellent choice!
Between the story line and the mixed reviews (readers seem to LOVE it or HATE it) it should generate some interesting coversation.

Here is a link to the book of essays. This might be another potential read in the future. Home: American Writers Remember Rooms of Their Own

OK, now, admittedly...medieval romance is NOT my cup of tea. But I'm willing to read anything you guys are. I had lunch today with Gayle Callen (Laura's mom), a good friend and author of 13 books in that genre (at least one made it to USA Today's bestseller list, too!). If we ever get around to reading one of hers, I'm sure she'd be glad to join us. Just a thought.

Her website is: www.gaylecallen.com (I'm designing her a new logo for it).

Me again LOL. Your suggestion sounds really intriguing, Lisa! I'd read it.

I didn't know Gayle was an author! I'll check out her website. And that's a great idea to invite her.

I had another thought too. I have been trying to read Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West for two years - if we make it a book club read, maybe I will finally do it!
